South West State restricts movement on Saturday from 6am – 3pm
The Government of Oyo State has announced the restriction of movement of persons and goods within the territory of the state between 6 am and 3 pm on Saturday.
The State Government of Oyo has declared these restrictions to allow voters in all 33 local governments to participate freely in the upcoming election scheduled for May 22.
The movement of individuals and goods will be limited during this time frame to facilitate the smooth conduct of the election by officials from the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC). The directive exempts only those on essential duties from the movement restrictions, with security operatives tasked to enforce compliance.
The statement issued by Mrs. Olubamiwo Adeosun, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), emphasized that these measures are essential for ensuring a seamless electoral process without hindrance.
