Governor Mbah Inaugurates 8th Traditional Rulers Council, Urges Them to Prioritize Community Security
On the 26th of may the newly elected Governor, Peter Mbah inaugurated the 8th Traditional Rulers Council. The event took place at the Government House in Enugu, with several dignitaries and traditional rulers in attendance.
During his speech at the inauguration ceremony, Governor Mbah emphasized the importance of community security and charged the traditional rulers to take a leading role in this regard. He stated that “as custodians of our cultural heritage and values, you are uniquely positioned to understand the dynamics of your communities and work towards ensuring their safety and security.”
The governor further urged the traditional rulers to collaborate with law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders to address security challenges in their domains. He also called on them to sensitize their subjects on the need to report any suspicious activities to relevant authorities.
Mbah reiterated his administration’s commitment to ensuring peace and security in Enugu State and expressed confidence that the traditional rulers would live up to their responsibilities. He assured them of his support in carrying out their duties effectively.
The inauguration of the 8th Traditional Rulers Council marks an important milestone in Governor Mbah’s efforts to build a secure and peaceful Enugu State.
