Governor Alex Otti of Abia State, Nigeria, unveiled a new emblem and logo for the state during a ceremony held at the Government House in Umuahia. The event was attended by top government officials, traditional rulers, and other dignitaries.
The new emblem and logo are part of the ongoing efforts to rebrand and revitalize Abia State. According to Governor Otti, the new design represents the state’s rich cultural heritage, unity, progress, and development. The emblem features a golden eagle with its wings spread wide, symbolizing strength and power. The eagle holds a shield in its talons, which bears the state’s motto “God’s Own State” inscribed on it. The logo is a stylized representation of the eagle and shield design.
The unveiling ceremony was followed by the launch of various initiatives aimed at promoting tourism, investment, and economic growth in Abia State. These include the establishment of a tourism commission, an investment promotion agency, and a small business development center.
