The collapse of the five-storey building under construction at the Dennis Memorial Grammar School in Onitsha, Anambra State was reported on Wednesday morning around 7:15 am. Fortunately, there were no casualties as work was not ongoing at the time of the incident. The cause of the collapse has not been officially determined, but there are suspicions that it might be due to the use of substandard materials during construction. The failed structure did not pose a danger to students as the hostel was located far from the building site.
