Atiku Abubakar Departs Abuja for European Business Trip
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, left Abuja for a business trip to Europe on Wednesday. Atiku’s departure was announced by his Media Adviser, Paul Ibe, who stated that Atiku embarked on a brief foreign business trip accompanied by family members, friends, and associates. The former Vice President departed from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja at 11 AM on Wednesday, the 26th of June, 2024.
This departure comes after Atiku faced criticism in the past for leaving Nigeria soon after elections. However, following the 2023 election, he remained in the country for several months engaging in party activities and consultations believed to be in preparation for the 2027 elections. Atiku’s recent trip to Europe is described as a short business trip, indicating his continued engagement in various endeavors.
Overall, Atiku Abubakar’s departure for a European business trip marks another chapter in his post-election activities and ongoing engagements both domestically and internationally.
