Wonder shall never end; a couple, Mr Uche and Mrs Peace, could still not believe it as their five kids have dragged them into police net.
The couple were arrested on the directive of Anambra State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Ify Obinabo. Relating the development in a statement today, the commissioner’s media aide, said couple were from Osumenyi community, Nnewi South Local Government Area of the state.

They are being accused of starving and maltreating the little children.
“On why they starved the kids, the couple denied the allegation and stated in their defence that the kids are always in the habit of eating raw rice, which makes them infuriated,” the statement read.
Mrs Mbonu is Mr Uche’s third wife, the commissioner’s office said, adding that the children are products of of his previous marriages. He had divorced his two wives in separate instances before settling down with Peace who was his salesgirl then.
There is yet no details about who exactly escalated the matter to the State government.
Vowing to continuing protecting children against abuses, the commissioner said that Mr Uche and his Peace would certainly be charged to court after police investigation.
