Breaking: Setback, as Nnamdi Kanu just loses suit against FG
There is a setback in Biafra struggle as court has just ruled against Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
Following his prolonged detention in the Department of State Service (DSS) facility and other alleged inhumane treatment he has faced, Kanu had filed a suit against the Federal Government, the Attorney General and DSS, seeking damages of N1 billion.

But a Federal High Court in Abuja has just dismissed the suit. Delivering the judgement today in Abuja, Justice James Omotosho said that Kanu’s suit lacked substantial evidence to prove his point beyond reasonable doubt.
If Kanu’s claims that the DSS has been eavesdropping his conservations with his lawyers and that his rights have been generally abused in detention are really true, today’s ruling could mean his freedom is not in view.
In 2021, Nnamdi Kanu has been extradited from Kenya in what is akin to kidnapping. Since then, he has appeared multiple times in the court.
But Federal Government seemed determined to not let him win, postponing the cases always in apparent move experts have termed “delay tactics.”
